Dear brothers and sisters:

In the past few days, the news that made us happiest is that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection has greatly declined in China, especially in the Hubei Province. We feel relieved a little bit even though the inflexion point of this epidemic has not arrived yet and there are still many uncertainties ahead, especially the pressure of a massive return to work in China and the quickly climbing number of confirmed cases outside China. We still need to continue our urgent prayer for the relief of this epidemic.

Another piece of encouraging news is the discrepancy between daily demand and supply of protection suites in the larger and medium sized hospitals is narrowing, given the declining number of confirmed cases and the operation of medical supply manufacturers gradually getting restored, according to what we learned recently. Nevertheless, some county hospitals are still lacking protection suites. Some doctors there are using plastic bags and ponchos as makeshift protection suites. These are the main targets we are assisting at present.

As of 02/25, we have purchased 1,460 protection suites to distribute to hospitals in many places. After hearing the arrival of the protection suites, one hospital that had an exhausted supply of them for two days sent out to pick them up immediately from the Disaster Relief Command Center. We pray that our God will use these to protect the medical staff on the frontline against the hazard of this virus. We plan to purchase 400 more suites to send to county hospitals on the frontline.

During this time, through some indirect contact, we have got into touch with a private hospital in Wuhan, which initially did not take in coronavirus patients but was recently designated in the 4th batch as one that does. Their supply of required resources was not in place. Their doctors only had industrial protection suites to use. They also had no shoe wraps and used plastic bags instead. Through some great efforts, we were able to quickly provide them with 50 medical protection suites. We also ordered 10 medical air sterilization machines, according to their requirements, for 3 Nursing Stations and 7 large patient wards, 5 of which were shipped on 02/24 and the rest will be shipped on 02/26. We pray that these machines will be delivered to the hospital in time and function effectively.

At the same time, the 41 sets of ventilator and oxygen machine combos, 10 nebulizers, and 10 suction machines that we purchased have all arrived in the frontline hospitals.

Lastly, we’d still like to express our gratitude to the multitude of brothers and sisters who gave offerings to this mission via various means so that we could receive them in time. So far the total amount of offering we have received is USD 92,282.16 and our total expense is RMB 915,159.00 (USD 128,122.26). As we said, we will still purchase 400 additional protection suites (with a total cost of RMB 68,000 / USD 9,520). AOCF will fill the gap with its own funds. Therefore, we have reached the conclusion of this round of fundraising. Thank you all again for your offering in love! Also thank you for your trust. 亲爱的弟兄姐妹:

在过去的几天里面，让我们最高兴的一件事情，就是中国特别是湖北，每天报道的确诊人数大幅度地下降，看起来可以让人稍稍喘口气。但整个疫情的拐点还没有到来，而且前面还有很多不确定的因素，特别是国内大规模复工的压力，和国外不断攀升的确诊人数，我们仍然需要为着这次的疫情向 神迫切祷告。

另外一件让人欣喜的事情就是从我们所了解的情况看来，随着每天确诊人数的下降，和国内生产医疗防护器材厂商的逐步复工，一些大中型医院每天所需防护服的缺口也小了不少。但一些县级医院仍然缺乏防护服，一些地方的医生只能用塑料袋和塑料雨衣暂时代替，而这一些小的医院也是我们目前的重点支持对象。

到25号为止，我们已经订购了1460套防护服发往各地的医院。其中一家已经缺货两天的县级医院在听到防护衣到货之后，第一时间就到市救灾指挥部领取了防护服，祷告我们的 神能够借着这些防护服让一线的医护人员免受病毒的侵袭。接下来，我们计划继续购买400套防护服送往一线的县级医院。

在这期间，我们辗转联系上了一家武汉的小民营医院，他们开始并没有收治新型肺炎的病人。但最后被纳入第四批收治新型肺炎病人的医院，因此医疗物资不能及时到位，医生只能使用工业防护服，用普通的塑料袋代替鞋套。经过大家的努力，我们在第一时间为他们提供了50件医用防护服，同时根据他们的请求，为他们的三个医护站和7个大病房，订购了10台医用空气消毒机，其中5台已经在24号发货，剩下的5台将在26号发货，祷告这些机器可以及时送到医院，发挥效用。

同时，我们所订购的41套制氧机-无创呼吸机组合，10套雾化器，和10套吸引器也已经全部到达一线的医院。

最后，我们还是非常感谢这么多的弟兄姐妹这么及时地将奉献借着各种方法交给我们，我们目前收到的奉献总额折算为美金是$92,282.16，我们目前已经支付的货款总数是人民币￥915,159.00（换算成美金是 $128,122.26），还会至少支付400件防护服的费用 （人民币￥68,000.00，换算成美金是 $9,520.00）。AOCF将使用自己的基金来补满所有剩下的余额，因此我们这次的募款就圆满地告一段落了！我们也再次谢谢弟兄姐妹们在爱心中的奉献，谢谢你们对我们的信任，求 神亲自记念报答你们！

Many things happened in the past several days. We are very grateful that so many brothers and sisters offered in many different ways in such a short time. So far we have received a total offering with the value of USD $40,250.00. On the one hand, we give thanks to God for the love of our brothers and sisters; on the other hand, we are fearful of failing to use your funds in the most needed places. Please pray for us so that we will have the wisdom to accomplish God’s Work.

As of now, Mission Breathing God’s Love, where we purchased ventilators, has concluded its current stage. All of the 41 sets of non-invasive ventilator / oxygen machine combos have been shipped, 5 of which have arrived at Xianning Chinese Medicine Hospital and Tongcheng County Chinese Medicine Hospital, 3 at Dawu County People’s Hospital, 19 at Xiaogan Disaster Relief Command Center. The remaining 14 sets are on the way. We hope when the doctors start to use these machines, the patients will not only breathe oxygen but also God’s love behind this effort. Our prayer is that God’s salvation would come on every patient or medical staff that uses these machines.

Currently, we are diligently searching for protection suites that can be used by the medical staff on the frontline. After some painstaking efforts, we have located one manufacturer that can supply us 50 - 100 pieces a day. We have received 10 as the first batch to deliver to hospitals in Xiaogan City. We are following it up with 1,500 protection suites (500 of which can be used for 5 times each at RMB 270 a piece; the rest of which are for one-time use at RMB 170 a piece, totaling RMB 305,000). We hope the manufacturer will ship it on time. We call this mission Mission Fine Linen.

As of now, the total amount of final price and/or deposits that we have paid is RMB 610,894.00 (~USD 85,537.76). Once again, we thank all the brothers and sisters that offered. 过去的几天中，有很多的事情发生。我们非常谢谢这么多的弟兄姐妹这么及时地将奉献借着各种方法交给我们，我们目前收到的奉献总额换算为美金是$40,250.00。我们一面为着弟兄姐妹的爱心向 神献上感恩，一面也觉得非常惶恐，害怕没有将弟兄姐妹的奉献用在最需要的地方。特别请弟兄姐妹为我们祷告，让我们能够常常想出巧工，也做成巧工。

目前，我们购买呼吸机的“呼吸神爱行动”差不多告一段落，所有已经购买的41套无创呼吸机 – 制氧机组合都已经发货，其中5套已经到达咸宁市中医院和通城县中医院，3套到达了大悟县人民医院，19套到达了孝感市救灾指挥部，其它的14套还在路上，盼望当患者开始使用这些的机器的时候，不仅仅呼吸到的是氧气，更是背后 神的爱，我们的祷告是 神的救恩可以临到每一个使用这些机器的医护人员和患者！

目前我们正在积极地寻找可以用于一线医护人员的防护服，历经千辛万苦我们总算找到了一家生产厂家，他们可以每天给我们提供50-100件防护服。我们先拿到了10件发过去给孝感的医院，接下来我们继续订购了1500件防护服（其中500件270元/件可以反复使用五次的防护服；1000件170元/件一次性的防护服，总费用30.5万元），盼望厂家能够及时出货。我们希望将这个项目称为 “细麻衣行动”。

As of February 15th, AOCF has purchased 41 sets of non-invasive ventilator / oxygen machine combos and donated them to hospitals in Xiaogan City and Xianning City in the Hubei province. The total expense was over RMB 528,000 (~USD 76,000). All machines have been shipped, 5 of which have already arrived at our designated hospitals, exceeding our original goal of 33.

We are very grateful to those brothers and sisters who donated right after receiving our first fundraising letter. In 24 hours, we received 14 donations through PayPal with a total over USD 6,400. Your enthusiastic response has greatly encouraged us and caused us to set our next goal in faith: at least 2000 medical protective suites, which are most needed right now, for the medical staff in the frontline at RMB 150-200 per suite.

In the recent weeks, many of us overseas Chinese have been restless because of the novel coronavirus epidemic that is spreading quickly in China, especially in the Hubei province. Right at this moment, as the virus wreaks havoc, many of our flesh and blood are fighting for their lives. Even though what we can do from afar is very limited, we still long to offer our little help to our folks on the other side of the Pacific Ocean.

For this purpose, American Overseas Chinese Foundation (AOCF, EIN 82-0885626), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is raising funds to purchase many sets of non-invasive ventilator and oxygen machine combos to send to the tier one hospitals in Hubei. According to the feedback of doctors in these hospitals, this combo is very effective in improving the blood oxygen level of lightly and moderately infected patients. Before this epidemic, many hospitals in Hubei, especially the ones at the prefecture and county levels, didn't even have this equipment.

As of February 14th, AOCF has purchased 14 sets (~$2,100/set) of such machines to donate to hospitals in Xiaogan City and Xianning City in Hubei. 19 more sets will be purchased and donated after that.
